Cacao & Date Caramel Slice!

This is absolutely delish! Such a good treat or afternoon snack to satisfy those sweet cravings!šŸ¤¤ Filled with all the goods like cacao powder, dates and @mayversfood peanut butter šŸ„œšŸ«šŸ™ŒšŸ» Give it a go and tag me @eating_clean_with_ava on instagram!


Ingredients:


Base:

~ 1/2 cup of pitted dates

~ 1 cup of roasted almonds

~ 1/4 cup of Extra virgin coconut oil, melted


Caramel Layer:

~ 1 cup of pitted dates

~ 1/4 cup of rice malt syrup

~ 1/4 cup of pure maple syrup

~ 1/2 cup of Mayvers Natural Crunchy Peanut Butter

Cacao Top:

~ 1/4 cup of extra virgin coconut oil, melted

~ 1/4 cup of cacao powder

~ 2 teaspoons of pure maple syrup


Method:


1. Line a baking dish with baking paper and grease with coconut oil. Blitz the Base ingredients in a food processor until a crumb forms and it is all combined.


2. Pour the base into the lined baking dish. Press down firmly. Put into the freezer whilst you make the caramel layer.


3. Combine all of the caramel layer ingredients into a food processor and blitz until the mixture is combined and is a thick consistency. Scoop on top of the base layer and put back into the freezer whilst you make the cacao top mixture.


4. Put all of the Cacao top ingredients into a small bowl. Mix with a whisk until combined. Pour on top of the caramel layer and put into the fridge for at least 1 hour before slicing.


5. Slice into 12 squares with a large knife. Store in the freezer. Enjoy!
