If your not a chocolate lover(I know there’s some of you out there) then you’ll LOVE these protein balls as they aren’t too rich and taste delicious! These are perfect as a normal snack, dessert or post training snack! Walnuts are an excellent source of vitamins and minerals as well as antioxidants and healthy fats! Serves: 25 balls
Ingredients:
~ 1 cup of pitted dates, soaked in boiling water for 10 minutes.
~ 1 cup of walnuts
~ 1/4 cup of @mckenziesfoods desiccated coconut
~ 2-3 Tblsps of @nutraorganics thriving vanilla protein powder
~ 1-2 Tblsps of chia seeds
~ Dash of pure maple syrup or any other liquid sweetener
Method:
1. Add the walnuts to a food processor. Pulse until it comes to a crumb.
2. Add the dates, protein powder, coconut, pure maple syrup and chia seeds. Blitz until fully combined.
3. Scoop about 1 Tblsp of the mixture into your hands and roll into balls. Coat In the extra desiccated coconut. Store in the fridge in a glass jar.
